Jan Dudák

Jan Dudák is a lawyer with more than 10 years of experience in providing legal advice to international and Czech entities and has extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of major projects for the private and public sector, including international large research infrastructures supported by the EU.

His areas of expertise include not only private law (such as civil contract law, business corporations and trusts) but also public law (such as subsidies and budget discipline). He thus advises both commercial corporations and other entities (both business and non-profit), as well as public entities such as universities, research institutions, state and local governments, etc. He is primarily concerned with the interaction and cooperation between the public and private spheres. He also deals with dispute resolution, negotiating out-of-court settlements and representing clients in proceedings before authorities and courts.

Jan has been working with the firm continuously since 2014 and after ten years has become a partner responsible for advising the public sector, especially in the areas of support for research, development and innovation, knowledge transfer, licensing of results, provision of subsidies from the perspective of both providers and recipients, state aid under EU law, public procurement including concessions, cross-border procurement, horizontal and vertical cooperation and other ways of dealing with public finances
